
Agustin D. Martinez
Mr. Agustin D. Martinez (Gus) brings over 30 years of dedicated service to public education. He began his career as a high school English, ESL, and Creative Writing teacher after earning a Bachelor of Science in Secondary English Education from Florida State University. He later obtained a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Johns Hopkins University and, in 2020, earned certification from the AASA National Principal Supervisor Academy through the Center for Educational Leadership at the University of Washington.

Throughout his career, Mr. Martinez has served in a variety of educational leadership roles, including human resources recruiter for teachers and school leaders, high school assistant principal, and both middle and high school principal. He has worked in diverse urban and suburban school districts—many of them Title I schools—including Miami-Dade County Public Schools (FL), Montgomery County Public Schools (MD), Fairfax County Public Schools (VA), and Loudoun County Public Schools (VA).
For nearly 15 years, Mr. Martinez has been coaching principals across K–12 settings. In his current role as Director of Middle School Education for Loudoun County Public Schools, he supervises 18 middle schools and supports a community of approximately 20,000 families.
